Job Description

Role Overview: Zendesk is looking for a skilled software engineer to join their team in Australia, where you will be responsible for building distributed, high scale, and data-intensive integrations that enhance their core SaaS product. The position is a hybrid role, requiring a combination of remote and on-site work, with 3 days in the office and relocation to Pune. As part of a high-performing team, you will work with other SaaS providers and cloud vendors to incorporate cutting-edge technologies and features into Zendesk's products. Key Responsibilities: - Design, lead, and implement customer-facing software projects, drawing from experience with both good and bad software projects to drive towards excellence. - Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, and be able to influence others within the organization with diplomacy and tact. - Focus on delivering quality work within specified timelines and adhere to best practices throughout the development cycle, including peer code review and rapid deployment. - Mentor and inspire team members, demonstrating authority and influencing skills. - Manage time effectively to balance individual contribution with assisting other engineers as needed. Qualifications Required: - Minimum of 6+ years of commercial software engineering experience. - 3+ years of experience in frontend development using JavaScript and React. - 3+ years of experience in Typescript, NodeJS, Java, or Golang building high volume applications. - Ability to identify and solve reliability problems at scale while working across the full stack. - Proficiency in managing time effectively to balance individual contribution and assisting other engineers. - Willingness to learn and apply different programming languages and technologies based on project requirements. - Experience building integrations with popular SaaS products such as Jira, Slack, Shopify, and Microsoft Teams is a plus.
