DPDZero is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Software Engineer to help design, build, and scale our digital collections and recovery platform This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, values clean architecture, and enjoys working across both backend and frontend systems when needed, Youll work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to build scalable backend systems and well-structured APIs, while also taking full ownership of performance, reliability, and maintainability Youll play a key role in mentoring engineers, solving real-world problems, and shaping the future of a fintech product used at scale, Responsibilities Work with cross-functional teams to turn fuzzy product requirements into clear, scalable technical solutions Design APIs and systems with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability Write clean, well-tested code and contribute to technical standards, code reviews, and system documentation Own features or technical areas end-to-end ? from design and implementation to deployment and monitoring Drive improvements in existing systems for scalability, observability, and fault tolerance Mentor and support other engineers through feedback, knowledge sharing, and hands-on guidance Help set standards, guide tooling decisions, and shape engineering direction Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a software engineer Proficiency in at least one modern backend language (eg Python, Go, Java, Nodedot js, etc) with a strong understanding of CS fundamentals Hands-on experience working with modern relational or NoSQL databases (eg, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB), including schema design and query optimization Familiarity with engineering best practices: code reviews, documentation, CI/CD, performance monitoring, and automated testing Proven track record of owning features or technical areas end-to-end that handle large-scale traffic, from design to deployment and monitoring Experience mentoring engineers and helping shape team culture Nice to have Experience working in cloud-native environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerized setups (Docker, Kubernetes) Experience working in a startup or fast-paced, product-focused environment About DPDzero Credit penetration in India faces significant challenges, necessitating focused attention Without proper infrastructure, extending credit to unserved and underserved populations remains exclusive, DPDzero is on a mission to enhance credit penetration by enabling lenders to concentrate on acquiring new customers, while we handle delinquency management We are an 18-month-old startup, collaborating with over 20 lending partners We have secured $325 million in seed funding from Blume Ventures, India Quotient, Better Capital, etc Company Description: DPDzero is a pioneering fintech company dedicated to extending formal credit access to the next billion individuals in India Our cutting-edge platform leverages machine learning and a digital-first approach to transform the lending industry By prioritizing compliance, data-driven decision-making, and a culture of experimentation, we aim to maximize value for lenders while delivering an unparalleled customer experience Join us as we revolutionize the financial landscape and empower individuals with greater financial opportunities, Customers: At DPDzero, we work with a diverse range of ambitious lenders, both established players and emerging disruptors, who are reshaping the credit ecosystem in India Some of our esteemed customers include Cashe, Ring, TATA Capital, IndusInd Bank, KreditBee, and more, with new additions each month, Our Approach: We partner with our lenders by taking charge of their collections portfolio, allowing them to focus on customer acquisition while we ensure efficient recovery from their customers Our technology-driven platform leverages machine learning algorithms to optimize collections strategies and drive maximum recovery rates,
