As a Senior Software Engineer - Analytics, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable backend systems that power a robust analytics platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact features that improve operational efficiency for healthcare practices. This role offers the opportunity to influence technical architecture, drive engineering outcomes, and contribute to long-term system scalability and reliability. You will also mentor junior engineers, participate in system design decisions, and ensure the quality, observability, and performance of your code from development to production. Accountabilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Go (or other modern programming languages)
- Collaborate with product, design, and frontend teams to deliver impactful features
- Participate in system design reviews and propose robust solutions
- Ensure reliability, quality, and observability of backend services from development to production
- Drive long-term system health by anticipating scaling, maintenance, and architectural needs
- Mentor peers and junior engineers, promoting best practices and technical growth
- Plan and execute projects from inception to delivery with strong ownership and outcome focus
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience with languages such as Go, Java, Python, Ruby, or C# (Go preferred or willingness to learn)
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and backend services
- Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL
- Experience building data or analytics platforms
- Familiarity with distributed systems, inter-service communication (e.g., gRPC, REST, Kafka, Redis)
- Knowledge of data engineering tools and frameworks like message queues, data warehouses, Airflow/Dagster, dbt
- Experience with cloud environments (preferably GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and take responsibility for production systems
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and collaborative skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
