Job Description

Role Overview: As a software engineer at Google, you will be developing next-generation technologies that impact billions of users globally. You will be working on critical projects that cater to Google's needs, with the opportunity to switch teams and projects as the business evolves. The role requires versatility, leadership qualities, and enthusiasm to tackle new challenges across the full-stack. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop scalable solutions for AI mode/AI overviews with generative AI models within the Search interface, collaborating on architectural choices and best practices. - Collaborate with executive engineers, AI/ML researchers, and Product Managers to translate product goals into tangible features. - Manage technical problems related to AI model deployment, quality improvements, and ensuring a seamless user experience on large-scale systems. - Contribute to the team's technical direction, advocate for engineering best practices, mentor junior engineers, and foster a culture of innovation. - Ensure the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of AI-powered features, contributing to solutions that operate at Google's massive scale. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. - 5 years of experience in software development. - 3 years of experience testing and launching software products. - 2 years of experience with software design and architecture. - 2 years of experience in ML/NLP based products, training data generation, training, tuning. - 5 years of experience with data structures/algorithms. - Experience managing small to medium-sized teams. - Experience in quality/ML/search with the ability to thrive in ambiguity. - Knowledge of voice, image modalities. - Knowledge of the Indian market.
