Senior Software Development Engineer

You will be responsible for designing, creating, and testing new products, systems, and services at Diebold Nixdorf. You will collaborate cross-functionally with other technical and engineering teams to define product requirements, determine design direction, drive production processes, test prototypes, and make real-time adjustments to enhance performance and functionality. Your role will be vital in connecting people to commerce in a hyper-connected, consumer-centric world. - Work on the application end-to-end lifecycle - Demonstrate a good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts and their application - Possess knowledge of the Java ecosystem, including Java SE and EE - Familiarity with Web servers (e.g., Tomcat) and Enterprise servers (e.g., JBoss, WebLogic) - Experience with Spring/Java EE application modules and lifecycle - Conduct Unit, Integration, and System Testing using JUnit and mocking frameworks - Proficiency in JPA/Hibernate - Knowledge of Microservices and REST API - Understanding of Java design patterns and Microservices design patterns - Familiarity with security frameworks like OAuth - Proficiency in RDBMS with knowledge of multiple databases such as Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, etc. - Ability to analyze problems and propose solutions, approaches, and strategies - Understanding of front-end technologies like Angular, React, Node, etc. - Familiarity with NOSQL databases like MongoDB, Redis, etc. - Act as a self-motivated software engineer, contributing to the design and implementation of a next-generation enterprise product - Focus on delivering working results that meet functional requirements and quality attributes - Work flexibly as a contributing member of a small collaborative team - Demonstrate strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills - 5+ years of experience in Java Development - Working experience or knowledge of Agile methodology - Ability to quickly learn new technologies Diebold Nixdorf is a company that automates, digitizes, and transforms the way more than 75 million people worldwide bank and shop.
