Senior Software Developer (Java)

As an experienced developer with over 5 years of relevant experience, you will be responsible for owning one or more modules, planning, estimating, and executing development and deployment of system features. Your role will involve monitoring successful integration, maintaining the system throughout its lifecycle, and recommending software solutions to meet financial functionality needs. You will collaborate with the development team by conducting design, code reviews, and delegating coding tasks to junior Java developers. Additionally, you will be expected to understand business requirements and provide technical solutions accordingly. Your key responsibilities will include: - Planning and executing development and deployment of system features - Recommending software solutions for financial functionality needs - Developing modules and collaborating with the team in design and code reviews - Understanding and providing technical solutions for business requirements To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills: - Relevant object-oriented application building experience in a professional environment - Understanding of Agile/Scrum development cycle - Proficiency in relational databases such as MySQL - Excellent coding skills in Java and advanced Java - Experience with unit testing (junit), TDD, and API integration tests - Familiarity with REST API, AJAX API, and asynchronous programming - Knowledge of working closely with git - Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team - Good design skills with respect to patterns and Object-Oriented Programming Preferred qualifications include: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent with a strong foundation in Mathematics and Statistics - Knowledge of HTML, Javascript, and GWT - Experience with Dependency Injection framework (Google Guice), Mongodb, and Cloud Ecosystems like AWS - Math Skills - Exposure to Finance domain The salary package for this position will be as per industry standards.
