Job Description – Simulation Engineer (DES – Automotive Domain)
Position: Simulation Engineer / Senior Simulation Engineer
Experience: 5–8+ Years
Domain: Automotive / Manufacturing / Supply Chain
Tools Required: Tecnomatix Plant Simulation (mandatory), AnyLogic / FlexSim (added advantage)
Responsibilities & Key DeliverablesConceptualize, build, simulate, and optimize processes by developing Discrete Event Simulation (DES) models using Tecnomatix Plant Simulation (mandatory).
Perform advanced simulation analysis on Assembly lines, Production lines, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Management, and Logistics within the automotive sector.
Conduct in-depth analysis on KPIs such as throughput determination, bottleneck identification and resolution, resource optimization, and inventory reduction/optimization.
Independently solve complex simulation challenges, optimize models for efficiency and accuracy, and deliver actionable insights from results.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to translate business requirements into simulation models that provide practical, value-driven solutions.
Provide recommendations and continuous improvements in process optimization, productivity, and efficiency enhancement through simulation studies.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production, Operations Research, or related field.
5–8+ years of proven hands-on experience with Tecnomatix Plant Simulation (must-have).
Additional experience in AnyLogic / FlexSim is a strong advantage.
Strong domain knowledge in Automotive sector operations: assembly lines, production lines, logistics, warehouse, and supply chain.
Expertise in simulation-driven KPI improvements and problem-solving through bottleneck analysis and optimization techniques.
Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving abilities, and experience in presenting findings to stakeholders.
Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
