Senior QA Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Test Planning & Strategy

  :
• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test

scenarios based on project requirements.

• Define testing strategies and processes for functional, regression,

integration, and user acceptance testing.

• Test Execution

  :
• Perform thorough manual testing of web and mobile applications.
• Validate functionality, usability, and performance to ensure optimal user

experiences.

• Identify, record, document, and track bugs through bug tracking systems

(e.g., JIRA).

• Collaboration & Communications Work closely with development teams during the entire SDLC to ensure high-

quality deliverables.

• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as daily standups, sprint

planning, and retrospectives.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members on testing

status, issues, and risks.

• Defect Tracking & Reporting

  :
• Analyse and report bugs with clear steps to reproduce and relevant

documentation.

• Collaborate with developers and product teams to resolve defects and verify

fixes.

• Test Documentation:

• Create and maintain detailed documentation for test results, bugs, and

system issues.

• Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies based on

project feedback.

• Continuous Improvement

  :
• Research new tools, technologies, and testing trends to improve the overall

testing process.

• Mentor junior testers and share knowledge on testing best practices and

techniques.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: 5-8 years of hands-on manual testing experience across various

platforms (web, mobile, APIs).

• Testing Tools: Proficiency in bug tracking tools like JIRA, and test case

management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr).

• Methodologies: Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the

SDLC.

• Test Techniques: Experience with test case design techniques like Boundary Value

Analysis (BVA), Equivalence Partitioning (EP), and exploratory testing.

• API Testing: Familiarity with API testing using tools like Postman.
• SQL Knowledge: Ability to write basic SQL queries for data validation and back-end

testing.
