Senior QA Engineer

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in the quality assurance of our products. You will be responsible for designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions, reviewing system requirements, and tracking quality assurance metrics. You will collaborate closely with development, product management, and customer support teams to ensure that our products meet high standards and exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases based on software requirements.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing of web, mobile, and API-based applications.
• Identify, document, and track bugs through their lifecycle using tools like Jira, Bugzilla, etc.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Provide comprehensive test reports and insights to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and clarity on test results.
• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers in best practices and defect management.
• Stay updated on the latest testing tools, trends, and methodologies to improve testing processes.
• Design and develop automated test scripts using frameworks like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or equivalent.
• Implement and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for automated testing.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience:

   7+ years of experience in software quality assurance

• Education:

   Engineering graduate or Postgraduate in Computer science/IT, or any related field.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
• Hands-on experience with test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr) and bug tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla).
• Familiarity with RESTful API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI) and performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Proven experience with automated testing frameworks and tools (Selenium, JUnit, Cypress, Appium, etc.).
• Proficiency in programming or scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) for automation purposes.
