Senior Oracle Database Administrator

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) – Level 4 to 

join our technology team. In this senior role, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, 

performance, and security of enterprise-wide Oracle databases while leading high-availability

and disaster recovery initiatives. You will collaborate with developers, architects, and 

infrastructure teams to design scalable solutions and provide technical guidance to junior 

DBAs.

Key Responsibilities

 Administer, maintain, and optimize large-scale Oracle database environments.

 Implement and manage Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, GoldenGate, and RMAN.

 Perform advanced performance tuning and troubleshooting.

 Lead high-availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) planning and execution.

 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable database 

solutions.

 Drive automation efforts using tools such as Ansible and Terraform.

 Manage databases in Linux/Unix environments and integrate with cloud platforms 

(OCI, AWS, Azure).

 Provide mentorship and guidance to junior DBA team members.

 Ensure compliance with ITIL processes, security standards, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

 10+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator with enterprise-level 

systems.

 Expertise in Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, GoldenGate, RMAN, and performance 

tuning.

 Strong hands-on experience in Linux/Unix operating systems.

 Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Ansible, 

Terraform).

 Proficiency in cloud platforms – Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, or Azure.

 Familiarity with Exadata and Autonomous Database (preferred).

 Understanding of ITIL processes and enterprise change management.

 Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

 Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

 Experience working in mission-critical, large-scale environments.

 Exposure to hybrid cloud migration projects.

 Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python)
