Senior Machine Learning Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in NLP, you will be responsible for leveraging cutting-edge technologies to process large-scale content for AlphaSense's clients. Your role will involve utilizing AI applications such as NLP, LLM, and ML for document understanding, including tasks like document classification, text categorization, data extraction, and semantic similarity. With at least 5 years of experience as a software engineer, primarily working with Python, you will ideally hold an advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field focusing on Artificial Intelligence and machine learning. You should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in solving NLP problems and expertise in developing and deploying NLP/LLM solutions using frameworks like LangChain and HuggingFace, along with proficiency in FastAPI for backend web frameworks. Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills are essential for this role. It would be advantageous to have experience in async processing of data at scale, working with core engineering skills like Cloud, microservice architecture, caching, and queuing, as well as familiarity with tools such as Docker, k8s, VCS, and CI/CD. Your responsibilities will include deploying LLM-based production-grade solutions, fine-tuning and adapting SOTA LLMs for specialized data extraction tasks, developing innovative prompting strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into machine learning architectures.
