About the Role

Senior/Lead Scientist

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead research and development in BCI systems with a strong focus on AI-driven signal processing and interpretation.
  • Design, implement, and optimize algorithms for EEG/ PPG and other neurophysiological data.
  • Drive innovation in areas such as cognitive state monitoring, attention/focus detection, neurofeedback, and brain-controlled interfaces.
  • Oversee experimental protocol design, data acquisition, and validation studies.
  • Publish in high-impact journals/conferences and represent the organization in the scientific community.
  • Collaborate with hardware, software, and product teams to ensure seamless integration of AI models with embedded and cloud platforms.
  • Mentor and guide junior scientists, engineers, and interns.
  • Provide strategic direction for long-term BCI and neuro-AI research roadmaps.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • PhD (preferred) or Master’s in Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with a strong research record.
  • 5+ years of academic/industry experience in BCI, neurotechnology, or related domains.
  • Extensive experience with EEG/MEG/ECoG data acquisition, preprocessing, and analysis.
  • Strong background in AI/ML, including deep learning (CNN, RNN, transformers), signal processing, and feature engineering.
  • Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or C++ with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
  • Proven track record of publications, patents, or deployed BCI/AI systems.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred / Nice to Have

  • Experience in wearable EEG or consumer-grade neurotechnology.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards for medical/health devices.
  • Prior experience leading cross-functional teams in a startup or R&D environment.
  • Exposure to multimodal data fusion (EEG + ECG, IMU, PPG, eye-tracking).
  • Experience in cloud-based AI deployment or mobile neurotech applications.
