Senior Engineer - Power Thermal

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking a Senior Engineer in the Engineering Group, specialized in Power Thermal Management. As a Qualcomm Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and validating embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and utility programs to support the creation of cutting-edge products that exceed customer expectations. Collaboration with various teams including systems, hardware, architecture, and test engineers is essential to design system-level software solutions and gather performance requirements and interface information. Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. - Strong background in systems/hardware with knowledge of microprocessor architecture and common SoC hardware blocks. - Familiarity with operating systems concepts such as scheduling, memory management, and device drivers. - Experience in using debug tools like JTAG debugger, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers. - Proficiency in power or power/thermal management software development. - Extensive knowledge in Embedded Systems, Microcontrollers, SoC Power, Modem, Multimedia, and Wireless communications. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: - Collaborate with the Power/Thermal Software products team to develop industry-leading Power/Thermal/Limit SW management solutions for Qualcomm chipsets. - Work with cross-functional teams to identify power optimizations, thermal/limits HW tuning, and provide optimized solutions. - Perform system level analysis of power/thermal use cases and collaborate with different teams for optimal system level solutions. - Develop tools and methodologies for competitive analysis and propose thermal mitigation schemes. - Utilize systems/hardware background to understand microprocessor architecture and SoC hardware blocks. - Apply knowledge of operating systems concepts and debug tools for effective problem-solving and optimization. Level of Responsibility: - Works under supervision with the potential for work to impact beyond immediate work group. - Requires effective verbal and written communication skills for conveying information and basic negotiation abilities. - Tasks require planning, problem-solving, and prioritization to be completed efficiently.,
