Senior Engineer - CFD & Heat Transfer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify design improvements and optimize product performance through simulation-driven engineering for both gases and liquids.
• Conduct computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations using ANSYS FLUENT, OpenFOAM, or other relevant tools to analyze complex heat transfer phenomena.
• Develop and maintain accurate models of industrial equipment, machinery, and systems for thermal management applications.
• Provide technical guidance on heat transfer principles, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics to junior engineers.
• Participate in project planning, execution, and delivery as part of an agile team.
• Capable of building CFD based meshed model & good know-how of turbulence modelling & associated calculations.
• Constantly Develop & improve new CFD techniques & also contribute to design suggest.
• Active involvement in the discussion related to New Product development.
• Pressure drops predictions & Heat transfer calculations & simulation of the defined products.
• Have a good understanding of multi-phase solver which also includes the VOF implementation for interface tracking for different phases.
• Able to generate customized scripts for modelling of solvers, meshing & fluid data implementation.
• Report writing & efficient delivery of projects with intuitive results.
  

Mandatory Software Tools -

a) Ansys Fluent & CFX

b) CFD Based Topology Optimization (Adjoint Solver)

c) OpenSource tool like OpenFOAM [Intermediate Level]

d) MATLAB/ Simulink (Model Based Development Approach)

Desired Candidate Profile

• 3-6 years of experience in CFD & Heat Transfer with expertise in multiphase heat transfer simulations.
• Considerable knowledge of code development by using multiple platform (in C++/C/Fortran/Python).
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech/B.E.) or Master's degree (M.Tech).
• Strong understanding of DPM (Direct Pump Modeling), Simulation Techniques for Industrial Equipment/Machinery/Systems or Thermal background.
