Job Description

Senior DevOps Engineer 736

Key Responsibilities

Understand customer requirements and translate them into reference architecture for DevOps practices, CI/CD, and automation.
Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines and automation solutions across multiple technologies.
Automate provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud infrastructure using tools such as Terraform, Argo CD, and Terragrunt.
Deploy and manage applications and services in Azure or other cloud platforms.
Create and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across servers, networking, databases, and cloud environments.
Implement version control, build automation, and code repository management.
Conduct code reviews, define branching/merging strategies, and ensure adherence to DevOps best practices.
Support project teams in designing functional modules and creating technical framework documents.
Lead Proof-of-Concept (PoC) activities to validate feasibility and performance of DevOps solutions.
Mentor and guide DevOps engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Evaluate process efficiency and propose optimizations to improve CI/CD and automation practices.
Ensure cloud infrastructure scalability, security, and compliance with industry standards.
Maintain documentation for infrastructure, automation procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Primary Skills

Cloud Platforms: Microsoft Azure, Azure PaaS services (App Services, Functions, Kubernetes Service, API Management)
Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
Infrastructure Automation: Terraform, Helm, Argo CD, CloudFormation
CI/CD Tools: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Bamboo, GitLab
Monitoring Tools: Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack
Scripting/Automation: PowerShell, Bash, Python, JavaScript
Version Control: Git, Bitbucket, or similar repositories
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile/Scrum practices, and DevOps principles

Secondary Skills / Nice-to-Haves

Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and message brokers
Knowledge of security practices, including GDPR, OWASP, and cloud security standards
Experience with microservices architecture
Ability to perform performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting for complex distributed systems
Familiarity with build and deployment pipelines for multiple programming languages (Java, Python, Perl, .NET)

Experience

8–10 years of demonstrable experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and automation
Hands-on experience leading teams and managing multi-stakeholder projects
