Senior Development Engineer

Role Overview: As a Senior Development Engineer at Prospecta in Gurugram, you will be responsible for developing and implementing complex software solutions, providing technical oversight, and driving the development of high-quality, secure, and scalable applications. Your role will require proactive and innovative collaboration with cross-functional teams, leading technical initiatives, and driving continuous improvement in development processes. Key Responsibilities: - Develop code based on technical specifications provided by the Lead/Manager, ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices. - Work closely with various development teams, product managers, and business analysts to design and implement new initiatives that align with business goals. - Provide technical oversight and enforce governance standards for system designs, ensuring architectural designs align with organizational objectives and best practices. - Act as a representative of the development team when interacting with production support staff, other development teams, and global engineering groups, effectively communicating application teams" perspectives and requirements to stakeholders. - Ensure the integrity of the application by implementing security standards, compliance protocols, and best practices in code quality and system design. - Identify areas for improvement within development processes and work with technology teams to refine and enhance these processes. - Lead efforts to introduce new tools or software that can streamline development workflows or enhance application performance and security. - Take the lead in diagnosing and resolving complex engineering issues, providing technical solutions that minimize downtime and improve system reliability. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A masters degree or relevant certifications is a plus. - 5+ years of experience in software development, with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and maintaining complex applications in a collaborative environment. - Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python). - Strong understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and architectural principles. - Familiarity with agile development methodologies and modern development tools (e.g., Git, JIRA, Jenkins). - Experience with cloud platforms, microservices, or distributed systems. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. - Ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to a collaborative and innovative team culture. - Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach to solutions.,
