Senior Data Scientist

As a Senior Data Scientist in the Conversational AI team at Walmart, you will play a pivotal role in leading the evolution of the AI assistant platform by defining and building highly scalable Generative AI systems and infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include: - Partnering with key business stakeholders to drive the development and planning of POCs and production AI solutions, while being a thought leader in the Conversational AI space. - Translating business requirements into strategies, initiatives, and projects aligned with business strategy and objectives, and driving the execution of deliverables. - Designing, building, testing, and deploying cutting-edge AI solutions at scale, impacting millions of customers worldwide. - Leading multiple initiatives within the platform with a focus on efficiency, innovation, and leverage. - Collaborating with applied scientists, ML engineers, software engineers, and product managers to develop the next generation of AI assistant experiences. - Staying up-to-date on industry trends in Generative AI, Speech/Video processing, and AI assistant architecture patterns. - Providing technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to highly skilled data scientists in the team. - Leading innovation and efficiency through the complete problem-solving cycle and partnering with associates in other regions for global customer service excellence. - Actively participating in the external community to strengthen Walmart's brand and contribute to industry practices. - Driving innovation in the charter and publishing research in top-tier AI conferences. Qualifications required for this role: - Master's with 6+ years or Ph.D. with 4+ years of relevant experience in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related areas. - Strong track record in a data science tech lead role with deployment of large-scale AI services. - Extensive experience in designing, developing, and delivering AI products in conversational AI, speech, vision, or machine learning based systems. - Deep expertise in machine learning, including Gen AI, NLP, Speech processing, Image processing, Classification models, regression models, Forecasting, Unsupervised models, Optimization, Graph ML, Causal inference, Causal ML, Statistical Learning, and experimentation. - Thorough understanding of distributed technologies, public cloud technologies, scalable platforms, ML platforms, and Operational Excellence. - Experience working with geographically distributed teams. - Strong experience with big data platforms like Hadoop (Hive, Map Reduce, HQL, Scala) and proficiency in Python and Java.,
