Role Overview: You will be joining a world-class team at FICO as a senior software engineer with expertise in back-end/C++. In this role, you will be contributing to the technical development of an analytic decisioning platform. Your main responsibility will involve working on a backend engineering team to process features for high-volume, low-latency decisioning and analytics execution. This position offers a unique leadership opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology applied to unique business problems. Key Responsibilities: - Work closely with product managers to understand priorities and usage scenarios of product features. - Collaborate with user experience personnel to comprehend personas within usage scenarios. - Drive the design for your software platform capability in collaboration with architects. - Follow software engineering standards, guidance, and processes within working groups of software engineers. - Continuously improve engineering practices to support efficiency, reliability, and serviceability goals for the software platform. - Assist in research, case studies, and prototypes on technologies to ensure the software platform remains a leading analytic decisioning platform. - Coach other software engineers on creating their domain designs. - Design and implement non-functional tests in collaboration with QA engineers. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science or related discipline. - 10+ years of experience in designing, building, deploying, and operating commercial software with sophisticated AI & ML stateful algorithms. - Proficiency in building sophisticated runtimes in C++ for over 10 years. - Ability to define and drive design transformation based on simplicity, modern software design patterns, and cloud environments. - Technical expertise across public cloud, private cloud, and on-premises infrastructure deployment models. - Experience with domain-driven, event-driven, and microservice architectures. - Proficiency in agile processes for building, tracking, and communicating plans. - Experience with production software deployments and commercial software product processes. - Knowledge of public cloud technologies such as AWS, Google, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, and CMake. - Preferred experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies.
