Role Overview

Seeking a

Senior Backend Engineer

with strong expertise in

Java

cloud technologies

, and foundational

AI/ML knowledge

. This role involves designing scalable backend systems, integrating data and AI services, and deploying intelligent solutions in a cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable data integration pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and ADLS
Develop and deploy AI/ML models using Azure Machine Learning, Azure Cognitive Services, and related Azure AI offerings
Integrate Azure AI services into existing systems ensuring efficient data flow and processing
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture and deliver on AI/ML and data integration requirements
Optimize data pipelines and ML models for performance, security, and reliability
Troubleshoot issues related to backend systems, data flow, and model performance

Required Skills & Experience

7–10 years of experience in backend development using Java and Spring Boot for building scalable microservices
Strong understanding and practical experience with REST APIs and integration design patterns
Solid knowledge of Azure Data Services: ADLS, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks
Familiarity with Azure AI services: Azure Machine Learning, Azure Cognitive Services
Experience with data integration and ETL/ELT processes
Understanding of machine learning concepts (model development, deployment, lifecycle management)
Proficient in databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
Familiarity with Azure infrastructure: VMs, Storage, Networking

Preferred / Nice To Have

Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, Azure AI Engineer)
Experience designing cloud-native architectures
Understanding of DevOps practices (CI/CD, IaC)
Awareness of security best practices – encryption, access control, threat mitigation
Exposure to machine learning model workflows and performance tuning

Must-Have Tech Stack

Cloud (Azure preferred, others acceptable)
