Job Description

Summary:

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you should be comfortable around back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries.

Responsibilities:

Gathering functional requirements, developing technical specifications, and project & test planning
Designing/developing SaaS software, prototypes, or proofs of concepts (POC’s)
Act in a technical leadership capacity: Mentoring junior engineers, new team members, and applying technical expertise to challenging programming and design problems
Resolve defects/bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post- release patches
Work cross-functionally with various teams: product management, QA/QE, various product lines, or business units to drive forward results
Contribute to the design and architecture of the project
Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming Methodologies

Requirements:

A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field is a good starting point for this position.
You have at least 7 years of active Python experience.
You have hands-on experience developing applications using Flask/Django framework and relational/non-relational DBs.
Expertise in both SQL and NoSQL databases, with proven experience in designing and managing large-scale database systems.
Strong skills in problem-solving and attention to detail are required. Senior ython developers must be able to effectively identify and resolve issues
Effective communication and collaboration with team members and stakeholders are critical to the success of projects.
Strong programming skills in Python.
Experience in NodeJs and Typescript/Javascript is a plus.
Experience in Microservices Architecture, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS is a plus.
Experience handling scaling of services is a plus
Prior leadership or mentorship experience is a significant asset. The ability to mentor and lead junior developers is frequently required.
