The ideal candidate will design, develop, and implement automation solutions that enhance the efficiency, reliability, and performance of our IT infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, software development, and network engineering, to drive the adoption of automation across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automation Development: Design, build, and implement automation workflows and scripts using tools such as Python, PowerShell, Ansible, Puppet, or other scripting languages and automation platforms.
- Infrastructure Management (IaC): Automate the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure (servers, storage, network devices, etc.) to ensure high availability and scalability. (Terraform,ARM ,Bicep )
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation within IT operations, network, and cloud services, focusing on reducing manual tasks and streamlining IT processes.
- Configuration Management: Implement configuration management solutions to manage IT environments, including cloud and on-premises servers.
- Monitoring and Alerts: Develop automated monitoring, alerting, and self-healing mechanisms to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of systems.
- Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps, software engineering, and IT operations teams to identify and automate repetitive tasks and ensure seamless integration of automation solutions.
- Scripting: Write and maintain scripts for various automation tasks, ensuring they are robust, efficient, and adhere to coding standards.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for automation processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
- Security Compliance: Implement automation in alignment with security and compliance requirements, ensuring that all automated processes meet the necessary standards and policies.
- Troubleshooting: Assist in diagnosing and resolving system performance issues, particularly those related to automated processes.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience:
- 5-10 years of experience in IT automation, scripting, or infrastructure management.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Jenkins, etc.)
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, virtualization, storage, and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Good understanding of Azure policies and RBAC
- Handson experience with Terraform and other IaC tools
- Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLabs).
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Nagios, Prometheus, ELK stack).
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation, or Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and Agile methodologies.
- Experience in cloud infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE
: 2-3 days a week in an office in Pune, (Typically Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and/or when needed.This role is a great opportunity to grow your expertise in automation while contributing to the quality of Medline Industries LP’s software solution.
