Role Overview

As a Senior AEM Architect, you will be part of a highly technical and customer-focused team responsible for the design, development, and deployment of web content solutions using Adobe AEM. You will provide technical leadership, evaluate business needs, propose scalable solutions, and guide teams through successful implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Translate business requirements into effective AEM solutions using industry-standard models and methods.

Evaluate customer infrastructure, assess capacity and performance, and plan for future scalability.

Provide solution architecture for AEM-based implementations including integrations with third-party systems.

Assess and propose solutions for non-functional requirements such as availability, scalability, performance, and reliability.

Work closely with clients, business analysts, developers, and system administrators to deliver robust AEM-WCM solutions.

Lead technical discussions, handle client demos, and create proof-of-concepts (POCs).

Provide hands-on contributions in design and development while mentoring technical teams.

Drive excellence in implementation, deployment, release management, and operations.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in Java/J2EE solution design and deployment.

• 5+ years of core experience in Adobe AEM or similar WCM/ECM product suite.

• Proven expertise in multi-site and multi-channel delivery, personalization, content aggregation, multilingual support, automated workflows, and social media integration.

• Strong knowledge of CMS Design, CRX, CQ WCM, DAM, and Social Collaboration.

• Hands-on expertise in web technologies – XML, XHTML, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML5, JSP, RESTful web services.

• Deep understanding of Java, Java EE, Servlets, JSP, Tag libraries, JSTL, Spring, Hibernate.

• Practical experience with Apache Sling, JCR (JSR-170/283), JSR-168/286, and OSGi bundle development (Apache Felix).

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Day CQ foundational concepts – CRX repository, templates, components, dialogs, widgets, deployment process.

• Strong client-facing communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

• Experience in configuration planning, testing, and change management.

• Familiarity with design patterns and Agile methodologies.

• Ability to act as a Scrum Master in Agile environments.
