Security Operations Engineer

As a Security Operations Engineer (SecOps) with 8-11 years of experience, you will be responsible for configuring multiple security systems (SAST, DAST, SIEM, EDR, etc.) for production endpoint and vulnerability scanning. Your role will involve system hardening for applications hosted on AWS, responding to security alerts, devising remediation strategies with internal teams, and ensuring compliance with information security best practices and standards. Your responsibilities will include architecting and implementing IAM best practices to facilitate fast-paced engineering activities while upholding security, compliance, and auditing requirements. Collaboration with engineering teams will be essential to ensure secure infrastructure architecture. You will need to respond to security system alerts (firewalls, IPS/IDS, SIEM, EDR, WAF), threat and vulnerability management, and work closely with teams to understand and address security vulnerabilities. Designing and implementing threat detection and prevention mechanisms across a multi-account, multi-region AWS environment will be a key aspect of your role. Your expertise in information security architecture and systems engineering will be crucial in providing guidance to other IT and business teams. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining a centralized platform to aggregate security and vulnerability scans from various sources. Automation of security controls, data access patterns, and processes will be an integral part of your responsibilities to enhance metrics and operational support for engineering teams.
