Security Operations Center (SOC) L3 Engineer

As a SOC L3 Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for providing expert support to large BFSI customers for Cisco. Your role will involve being an SME on Palo Alto, Zscaler, Akamai WAF, and SRX Firewalls, handling packet flow, product architecture, and escalations. You will play a crucial part in troubleshooting, resolving advanced issues, and leading during maintenance and incident response. Key Responsibilities: - Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and escalation point for Palo Alto, Zscaler, Akamai WAF, and SRX Firewall. - Provide remote and onsite support to promptly resolve customer issues. - Lead shift operations and provide guidance to junior SOC engineers. - Shorten Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR) by utilizing product expertise and customer network knowledge. Maintenance Window Leadership: - Plan and execute maintenance windows with clients and operators. - Prepare, validate, and review Method of Procedures (MOPs) for execution steps, fallback plans, and validation checks. - Provide technical oversight during change implementation to minimize service disruptions. - Ensure governance and adherence to processes for all planned activities. Problem Management & RCA: - Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents at infrastructure and application layers. - Document detailed technical reports with root cause, corrective actions, and preventive measures. - Recreate issues with TAC teams and drive them towards resolution. Leadership & SME Role: - Manage escalations, prioritization, and task allocation as a shift lead. - Provide mentoring and technical guidance to L1/L2 SOC engineers. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and Cisco leadership during critical business-impacting events. Qualifications Required: - 10+ years of experience in SOC operations at L3 level. - Deep expertise in Palo Alto Firewalls, Zscaler Cloud Security, Akamai WAF, and Juniper SRX Firewall. - Strong understanding of network & security architecture, packet flow, and threat analysis. - Hands-on experience with maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of enterprise-grade security solutions. - Ability to work under pressure and lead critical incident management. - Strong communication skills for customer-facing escalations and technical reporting. Work Schedule: - Onsite role at Navi Mumbai with rotational shifts for 24/7 SOC coverage. - Flexibility to work extended hours during critical events or maintenance windows.,
