Security Engineer 3

OCI Security is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic security engineer. This role will be responsible for the planning, design and build and operations of security services to protect Oracle's cloud. This engineer will oversee the implementation of advanced security platforms and will work to ensure compliance with corporate security policies and procedures. This individual will demonstrate a strong understanding of security concepts and must be a highly motivated champion of security for OCI and its partners.This engineer will be required to contribute to large scale security projects aimed at improving security for wide-ranging partners. They will be required to have a firm grasp of security technologies, trends in cloud security practices, and an ability to communicate complex technical security concepts clearly to partners and customers. The role will ensure effectiveness of the security program and its alignment with corporate policy. You will provide input on the design and architecture of security solution, maintenance and analysis of current toolsets, and ensuring compliance with policy and industry standards throughout Oracle. It will be necessary to collaborate across Lines of Business to identify and address concerns related to security posture and security initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for basic planning, design and build of security systems, applications, environments and architectures; oversees the implementation of security systems, applications, environments and architectures and ensures compliance with information security standards and corporate security policies and procedures.
• Research industry trends and constantly assess current controls and threat posture of new and existing products and services.
• Recommend and implement new security controls across Oracle’s line of business (LOB).
• Monitor, develop, and maintain an enterprise security tooling program including Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Endpoint Protection, and others.
• Build and administer secure Oracle Cloud environments to support the diverse needs of our customers.
• Work directly with system owners to implement security controls and configure security tools to meet a variety of requirements.
• Reduce risk by enhancing existing tools and processes.
• Improve current processes and workflows to minimize manual efforts.
• Assist in development of security documentation, training, and awareness programs.
• May research, evaluate, track, and manage information security threats and vulnerabilities in situations where analysis of well-understood information is required and where computer programming/scripting knowledge is required.
• Participate in a Rotational On-Call schedule for critical issues.
