About the role

SEO Team Lead


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the agency’s

    SEO strategy

    across a multi-industry client base (BFSI, IT/ITES, Real Estate, Hospitality, Education, Automotive, Lifestyle, Healthcare, FMCG, Consumer).
  • Define

    full-funnel SEO roadmaps

    integrating technical, content, and off-page optimization.
  • Oversee and approve all

    audits, strategies, and reports

    before client delivery.
  • Analyze search data

    to identify opportunities in Gen-AI Search and SGE environments.
  • Integrate LLM-based tools for AI-enhanced keyword strategy, entity mapping, and on-page optimization.
  • Build data-driven frameworks to correlate

    SEO KPIs

    with lead and conversion outcomes.
  • Collaborate with web, content, and media teams to ensure

    SEO strategy alignment

    across all channels.
  • Train and mentor

    the SEO team, ensuring consistent skill growth and process quality.
  • Represent the SEO function in client

    meetings, pitches

    , and cross-department strategic reviews.
  • Track emerging algorithms, schema evolutions, and

    AI search

    trends to keep the agency future-ready.


Required Skills

  • Deep understanding of

    advanced SEO

    mechanics, like technical (Core Web Vitals, JavaScript SEO, schema), content (E-E-A-T, intent mapping), and analytics.
  • Proven

    leadership and team management

    experience.
  • Proficiency in

    enterprise-level SEO tools

    (Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, SurferSEO, GA4, Tag Manager).
  • Strategic familiarity with

    AI search ecosystems

    , like Google SGE, ChatGPT integration, Bing Copilot, Perplexity AI, etc.
  • Strong communication and

    client relationship

    management skills.
  • Ability to create

    strategic documentation, reports, and performance forecasts

  • Analytical mindset with high proficiency in Excel, Data Studio, and visualization tools.
