Role/Summary:

A Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire process of material planning, storing and distributing goods within an organization. This includes everything from raw material, Semi finished goods and Finished Goods planning, to the delivery of finished products to customers.

Job Responsibility:

• Demand Forecasting:

  Accurate demand forecasting is essential for predicting customer requirements and planning production and inventory levels accordingly. Predicting future customer demand allows for the optimization of inventory levels and production schedules. This skill requires analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and external factors such as economic indicators to efficiently allocate resources and meet market needs.

• Supply Chain mapping

  : Supply Chain Managers develop a comprehensive Supply Chain plan to pinpoint improvement areas and identify bottlenecks. Responsible for Warehouse management, outward transportation, outside warehouse controls, safety & proper maintenance of Inventories.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality & Purchase departments on dissemination of Customer requirements & alert priorities to ensure smooth Supply chain. Inventory Management, Effective material planning and control to maintain optimum inventory levels.
• Applying Just-In-Time (JIT) principles and continuous improvement help eliminate waste and streamline processes.

• Inventory Control:

  Balancing stock levels to align with production demands while minimizing excess inventory and associated costs is crucial. By analyzing sales forecasts, production capacities, and lead times, Designing and implementing an inventory tracking system for optimized inventory control procedures.
• Examine the levels of raw materials and supplies to determine shortages
• Document daily shipments and deliveries to replenish inventory
• Create detailed reports for adjustments, inventory operations and stock levels
• Evaluating new inventory, ensuring its ready to ship
• Properly order new supplies avoiding excessive surplus or inefficiencies

• Material flow Optimization:

  Analyzing and improving material storage and movement processes to reduce waste and increase output is essential. Identifying bottlenecks and implementing strategic changes boosts overall productivity and ensures production targets are met.

• Supply Chain visibility:

  Technology integration provides real-time visibility into Supply Chain processes, enabling proactive monitoring and faster issue resolution.

Behavioral Competencies:

• Good communication skills to maintain smooth coordination with Cross function teams such as with the Raw and FG store to prepare the production plan.
• Coordinate with Purchase team for procurement of raw material, Gauges, toolings etc.
• Interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with different departments like Supply chain, Production, Quality, Design, Purchase and Human Resource in the organization.
• Should be result oriented during work
• Initiative to new ideas and Collect the Ideas from team for continual improvement process.
• Strong ERP system experience, Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills
