Role: SAP WM

The SAP WM Specialist is responsible for configuring, supporting, and optimizing the SAP Warehouse Management module to ensure efficient, accurate, and scalable warehouse operations. This professional collaborates with supply chain, operations, and IT teams to develop business-aligned SAP WM solutions, integrate warehouse processes, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvements for material handling, inventory management, and logistics workflows.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with SAP WM (or SAP EWM) configuration, support, and implementation.
• Understanding of key warehouse operations (inventory control, goods receipts/issues, stock transfer, picking/putaway, shipping/receiving, and logistics execution).
• Proven experience participating in or leading full-cycle SAP WM or EWM implementations.
• SAP WM or EWM certification preferred.
• Exposure to system integration with other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP, etc.).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in documentation, end-user training, and cross-team collaboration.

Essential Skills

Technical Skills

• SAP WM module configuration and customization for business requirements: warehouse structure, storage types, strategies, bin management, and movement types.
• Functional and technical troubleshooting for SAP WM and related interfaces with other modules or third-party logistics systems.
• Data management and migration (inventory, master data, mapping old to new structures).
• Design and optimization of process flows and warehouse automation integrations (such as barcode/RFID scanning, material handling equipment).
• System testing, validation, go-live activities, and post-implementation support.
• Documentation of configuration, process flows, UAT scripts, and end-user training material.

Functional/Process Skills

• Business analysis and requirement gathering from warehouse operations teams.
• Process mapping for inbound, outbound, and internal warehouse logistics.
• Continuous improvement, process optimization, and change management in warehouse functions.
• Project management and participation in global/multi-site SAP rollouts or upgrades.

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to facilitate workshops, training, and meetings across global teams.
• Flexibility, self-starter mentality, and ability to adapt to dynamic and changing environments.
• Effective time management, task prioritization, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Additional Skills (Preferred)

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and embedded EWM.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to debug or coordinate with ABAP developers.
• Familiarity with Agile/Lean methodologies, process automation, or technology-driven warehouse initiatives.
