Job Description

SAP ABAP Developer

The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of ABAP development concepts, debugging, performance tuning, and integration with functional modules.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, test, and implement custom programs using
ABAP/4
in SAP systems.
Work on
Reports (Classical & Interactive), Module Pool Programming, Smart Forms, and Adobe Forms
.
Create and maintain
Data Dictionary objects
(tables, views, structures, search helps, lock objects).
Develop and enhance
Interfaces (RFC, BAPI, IDocs, ALE)
.
Work on
Enhancements & User Exits, BADIs, BDCs, and LSMW
.
Support SAP functional teams (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, etc.) in developing and optimizing ABAP solutions.
Conduct
unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning
for developed programs.
Prepare
technical specifications and documentation
for new developments and enhancements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
SAP ABAP development experience
.
Strong knowledge of
ABAP Workbench tools
.
Experience with
Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, and SAP Scripts
.
Familiarity with
Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP)
.
Basic understanding of
SAP workflow and integration technologies
.
Good problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Good to Have (Optional):

Exposure to
S/4HANA ABAP (Core Data Services, AMDP, OData services)
.
Knowledge of
Fiori/UI5 integration
with ABAP.
Experience in working with
Agile methodologies
.
