India Designer Show (IDS)


Key Responsibilities


The Sales Intern will work directly with the Business Development and Sales teams, focusing on securing participation and partnerships for the India Designer Show.


Lead Generation & Outreach:

  • Conduct market research to identify and qualify potential designers, brands, sponsors, and exhibitors from diverse design disciplines (e.g., couture, fine jewellery, architecture firms, luxury automobile brands).
  • Initiate contact through cold calls, emails, and networking to introduce the India Designer Show and its value proposition.


Sales Support & Presentation:

  • Assist in creating compelling sales materials, including pitch decks, sponsorship proposals, and promotional collateral tailored for the luxury and design markets.
  • Support the sales team in scheduling, preparing for, and sometimes attending client meetings and negotiations.


Client Relationship Management:

  • Maintain and update the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system with accurate records of all sales activities, pipeline status, and client communications.
  • Conduct follow-up with potential and existing clients to nurture relationships and ensure a smooth onboarding process.


Event & Logistics Coordination:

  • Assist in the logistical coordination for confirmed designers and exhibitors, ensuring all their participation requirements are met leading up to the main event.
  • Support the team during show days, assisting with on-site sales, networking, and client servicing.


Market Analysis:

  • Track industry trends, competitor activities, and luxury market insights to contribute ideas for new revenue streams and sales strategies.


Qualifications and SkillsRequired
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Fashion Management, Event Management, or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • A

    , self-starter attitude with a high degree of ownership and an eagerness to meet targets.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint/Google Slides).
Preferred
  • Prior experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles (e.g., part-time job, club leadership, previous internship).
  • A genuine passion for the luxury fashion, design, and events industry in India.
  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Hubspot) is a plus.
