Research and Quality Analyst (R&QA)

Key Responsibilities

Quality Control & Assurance

• Ensure GMP and SOP adherence across production and lab operations.
• Review batch records, Certificates of Analysis (CoA), and raw/packaged material checks.
• Conduct in-process controls, stability sampling, and monitoring of critical quality parameters.
• Document deviations, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) accurately.
• Liaise with external labs for testing, validation, and compliance verification.
  

Research & Product Development Support

• Collaborate with the R&D team on new product formulations, ingredient selection, and process optimization.
• Conduct comparative studies, sensory evaluations, and performance testing for new and existing products.
• Support development of Ayurvedic formulations validated through modern scientific techniques.
  

Compliance & Process Audits

• Ensure compliance with AYUSH, FSSAI, GMP, and ISO standards.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits, implementing corrective actions where needed.
• Maintain calibration of lab instruments and enforce laboratory safety protocols.
  

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate, detailed records of all lab tests, in-process controls, and production observations.
• Prepare quality reports, research summaries, and analytical insights for management.
• Use MS Excel, Google Docs, and lab software to organize and analyze data for continuous improvement.
  

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with production, procurement, QA, and R&D teams to ensure formulations and processes meet quality standards.
• Provide data-driven insights to support product innovation and process enhancements.

Contribute to training, SOP updates, and knowledge sharing across departments.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications

Experience:

• 04 years in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or Research in Ayurvedic, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or related industries.
• Familiarity with lab testing, raw material and packaging inspection, in-process checks, and deviation handling.
  

Skills:

• Strong understanding of Ayurvedic ingredients, herbal formulations, pharmacy practices, and laboratory techniques.
• Proficiency in data recording, technical documentation, MS Excel, and Docs.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of GMP, ISO, FSSAI standards and best practices.
  

Education:

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Zoology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmacy (B.Pharm/M.Pharm), or Ayurvedic Science.
• Additional certifications in Quality Assurance, Laboratory Techniques, or R&D are a plus.
