About the Job

We are setting up a new Kachi Ghani & Expeller Plant and need a QAC Executive to take care of the quality of mustard seeds, mustard oil, and oil cake (khal/khali).

Your job will be to check and maintain quality at every stage from raw seeds to finished oil and by-product cake.

Key Responsibilities (KRAs):

1. Mustard Seed Quality

Check oil content in seeds (minimum 38–40%).

Ensure moisture is not more than 7–8%.

Inspect for cleanliness – less dust, impurities, or damaged seeds.

Check seed size and boldness for better oil yield and pungency.

2. Mustard Oil Quality

Ensure oil has the right pungency, aroma, and color.

Test oil for Free Fatty Acid (FFA), acid value, and peroxide value.

Confirm oil meets FSSAI standards for edible oil.

Maintain hygiene during storage and packaging.

3. Mustard Cake (By-product) Quality

Check residual oil % (should not be more than 7–8%).

Test protein and fiber content for cattle feed quality.

Monitor storage conditions to avoid fungus, smell, or spoilage.

4. Reporting & Documentation

Maintain daily lab records and reports.

Prepare quality certificates (COA) for each lot.

Share weekly quality reports with management.

5. Compliance & Improvement

Ensure all FSSAI and company standards are followed.

Suggest improvements in process and handling to increase oil recovery and maintain quality.

Train plant staff on quality and hygiene.

Who We Are Looking For

3–7 years of experience in quality control in mustard oil, edible oil, or food processing.

Good knowledge of seed, oil, and cake quality parameters.

Hands-on experience in lab testing (moisture, oil %, FFA, etc.).

Graduate/Postgraduate in Food Technology, Oil Technology, Chemistry, or similar field.

Local mandi and oil market knowledge is an added advantage.
