Quality Control Engineer

1. Incoming Material Inspection

• Check quality of raw materials received (rods, pipes, cables, clamps, chemicals, etc.).
• Verify supplier documents, specifications, and materials as per PO requirements.
• Conduct basic measurements (length, diameter, thickness, coating checks).
  

2. In-Process Quality Checks

• Inspect products during manufacturing (earthing rods, wires, clamps, accessories).
• Ensure production follows approved process and technical standards.
• Report defects/deviations immediately to Production & QC Manager.
  

3. Final Product Inspection

• Perform final checks of finished goods before packing or dispatch.
• Verify dimensions, labeling, serial numbers, and batch details.
• Ensure compliance with internal QC checklists.
  

4. Testing & Measurements

• Assist in conducting quality tests:
• Visual & physical inspection
• Continuity & resistance checks
• Coating thickness tests
• Mechanical strength tests (if applicable)
• Record test results accurately in QC reports.
  

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain inspection logs and daily QC reports.
• Update test records, NCR (Non-Conformance Report), and rework registers.
• File QC photographs and measurements for traceability.
  

6. Coordination

• Communicate defects to Production Supervisor and Plant Head.
• Follow up for rectification or rework updates.
• Work with Store & Dispatch team for QC clearances.
  

7. Safety & Compliance

• Follow all safety rules and use PPE during inspections.
• Ensure the QC area remains organized, clean, and audit-ready.
• Report any unsafe practices or material issues immediately.
