Job Summary:

To ensure that third-party suppliers consistently deliver materials, components, and services that meet the company’s quality standards. The role involves monitoring supplier performance, managing quality issues, handling output rejections, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, the role requires line management of QA team members responsible for supplier quality activities.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supplier Quality Management

  • Develop, implement, and monitor QA processes for third-party suppliers.
  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and contractual requirements.
  • Maintain supplier quality performance records and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with suppliers for corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

2.Output Rejection Handling

  • Review and analyze rejected materials/components from suppliers.
  • Initiate rejection reports and lead root cause analysis.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for replacement, rework, or credit settlement.
  • Track and reduce supplier rejection rates through structured problem-solving.

3.Line Management

  • Supervise and guide a team of QA inspectors/engineers handling supplier quality.
  • Allocate tasks, monitor team performance, and provide training where required.
  • Support employee development, coaching, and performance appraisal activities.
  1. Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Support the implementation of quality improvement projects with suppliers.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO/TS/industry-specific standards.
  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions between suppliers and internal teams.
  • Escalate critical supplier issues to management with data-driven insights.


Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of supplier quality management processes.
  • Expertise in rejection handling, RCA (Root Cause Analysis), and CAPA.
  • Experience with ISO standards, QMS, and audit processes.
  • Leadership and people management skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering E & TC / Quality Management or related field.
  • Minimum 4–6 years of experience in QA, with at least 2 years in supplier quality management.
  • Experience in leading a small QA team.
  • Hands-on knowledge of tools like 8D, FMEA, SPC, and Lean Six Sigma preferred.
