Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and reusable test automation frameworks. Your primary focus will be on building robust automated tests for web, API, and mobile applications utilizing tools like Selenium, Cypress, Appium, and RestAssured. You will collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to define and implement test plans and strategies. Integration of test automation into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps will also be a key part of your role. In this role, you will conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior QA engineers, ensuring adherence to automation best practices. It will be your responsibility to track quality metrics, document defects, and manage them via JIRA or similar tools. Additionally, you will develop BDD scenarios and integrate them with tools like Cucumber or equivalent. Participation in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups, is a crucial aspect of this position. Your duties will extend to identifying performance bottlenecks and providing support in performance testing as required. The ideal candidate for this position should possess strong programming skills in Java with a focus on test automation. A minimum of 1 year of experience in test automation is required, along with hands-on expertise in Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent tools for web automation. Proficiency in API testing tools such as Postman, REST-assured, or similar is essential. A solid understanding of testing principles, SDLC, Agile methodology, and defect lifecycle is expected. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP will be advantageous. Exposure to AI-based testing will be considered a plus.,
