QT / QML Architect

As a Lead Software Architect in our thriving research and development team, you will be responsible for developing Laboratory equipment and defining the software engineering architecture framework for our next generation product. You will collaborate with various teams to understand existing product functionality and new user interface requirements. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and implement/improve GUI application framework features/widgets for a wide range of Laboratory product families. - Develop and support GUI, middleware, communications, and other required features for user interface applications. - Work with Agile and Waterfall methodologies in a Test Driven Development environment. - Collect, interpret, and document system requirements. - Participate in component, subsystem, and system concept design, verifying key design parameters and evaluating options. - Develop and recommend methods, tools, and designs for software development process improvement. **Skill Requirements:** - Experience with Qt/QML or similar UI development language. - Proficiency in Linux platform (or Android), C++, and design patterns. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Excellent debugging skills with existing, complex code bases. - Demonstrated strong teamwork skills. - Awareness of FDA design control and process. - Minimum 5+ years of technical experience in UI architecture development and 8+ years of experience in modular software application architecture development for equipment. **Desired Skills:** - SQL, schema, and database experience. - Android UI development experience. - Familiarity with XML, JSON, Jira, Confluence, Git, and agile development processes. - Experience in analytical instrument control software development. - Software development per ISO13485 / IEC 62304 for medical devices. **Qualifications:** - Bachelors / Masters Degree in an Engineering Discipline or related field. - Preferred qualifications in Electronics Engineering / Computer Science.
