QA Tester (Manual)

As a Manual QA Tester with 2.5-5 years of experience, you will be an integral part of our Quality Assurance team at Sec - 67, Mohali. Your primary responsibility will be to manually test software, ensuring the identification of bugs and maintaining product quality standards before release. Your role will demand strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences. Your key responsibilities will include analyzing requirements and crafting test cases, scenarios, and test data based on functional specifications. You will execute manual test cases to validate software functionality, usability, and performance. Additionally, you will be expected to report, document, and track bugs using issue tracking systems such as JIRA or Bugzilla. Collaboration with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve defects will be a crucial part of your role. Performing regression, smoke, and exploratory testing, as well as participating in agile/scrum ceremonies, will also be part of your routine tasks. Your contribution to the continuous improvement of QA processes and documentation will be highly valued. To excel in this role, you should have 2.5-5 years of experience in manual testing or quality assurance roles. A strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes is essential. Familiarity with defect tracking tools like JIRA or Mantis is required. The ability to comprehend business requirements and transform them into effective test cases, coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills, will be critical. Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills will further enhance your effectiveness in this position. Preferred qualifications include experience in testing web and mobile applications, knowledge of SQL and basic database concepts, an understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, and familiarity with test management tools like TestRail or Zephyr.
