Position QA/QC Engineer

Experience: 8–12 Years

Work Location: Varthur, Bangalore

Position Summary

The QA/QC professional will be responsible for ensuring strict adherence to quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements across all phases of high-rise residential construction projects. The role involves developing and implementing quality assurance processes, conducting inspections, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring the delivery of defect-free structures.

Qualifications

- B.E./B.Tech/ Diploma in Civil Engineering

- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in real estate & high-rise residential construction. Preferably with aluminum formwork structures.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance (QA)

- Develop and implement project-specific Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).

- Establish quality benchmarks, procedures, and checklists for all construction activities.

- Review project specifications, drawings, BOQ, and method statements to ensure compliance with quality standards.

- Monitor material approvals and ensure materials meet required technical specifications.

- Ensure contractor/sub-contractor quality systems are aligned with project requirements.

Quality Control (QC)

- Conduct daily site inspections for civil, structural, finishing, MEP, and faade works.

- Verify execution as per approved drawings, standards, and method statements.

- Identify deviations/non-conformities and ensure corrective & preventive actions.

- Maintain records of inspections, test reports, NCRs, and site quality documentation.

- Ensure proper material testing (concrete, steel, aggregates, waterproofing, etc.) through internal and third-party labs.

Coordination & Compliance

- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Contractors, and Consultants regarding quality issues.

- Conduct quality meetings and prepare status reports on quality performance.

- Ensure compliance with relevant IS codes, NBC and safety norms.

- Assist in audits by internal/external agencies.

Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain complete quality documentation including QAP/ITP, WIR/MIR, NCR, CAR, test reports, calibration records, and site logs.

- Prepare monthly quality reports and highlight recurring issues with preventive measures.

- Ensure effective document control for approvals and records.

Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of high-rise residential construction standards.

- Expertise in RCC, structural works, finishing works, waterproofing, MEP quality checks, and faade quality control.

- Familiarity with IS codes, QA/QC procedures, and modern construction technologies.

- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and other quality-related tools.

- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to manage multiple contractors and maintain strict quality standards.
