Job Description

Automation Testing:

Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Cypress and JavaScript.
Implement robust and scalable test automation frameworks.
Expand and maintain existing test automation suites.

Test Planning:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and review requirements.
Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements.
Estimate efforts for automation testing and provide input on test strategies.

Test Execution and Reporting:

Conduct automated testing and analyze results to identify defects and ensure software quality.
Document and report bugs, issues, and test results in a clear, concise manner.
Work closely with developers to resolve issues and ensure quality.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in automation testing.
Continuously improve test processes and extend automation frameworks.
Mentor and support junior team members in best practices for automation.

Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate with product management, development, and other QA teams to ensure a seamless testing process.
Participate in daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
6-10 years of experience in software testing and automation.
Extensive experience in using Cypress for automated testing.
Proficient in JavaScript and its application in test automation.
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of testing principles, methodologies, and tools.
Experience with API testing and tools like Postman or RestAssured.
Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
Experience with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or equivalent.
Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
