QA Engineer

As a Manual QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products before they reach end-users. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to validate functionality, identify defects, and uphold a high standard of user experience. This role involves hands-on testing, exploratory analysis, and clear communication to support agile development and continuous improvement in product quality.
Key Responsibility:
Develop and document detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test data based on product requirements and user stories. Execute manual test cases to validate software functionality, performance, and usability across different platforms and browsers. Identify, log, and track bugs with comprehensive documentation including steps to reproduce, screenshots, and severity. Perform exploratory testing to uncover hidden issues or usability problems not covered by scripted tests. Conduct regression testing to ensure existing functionality is not affected by new code changes. Collaborate with developers and business analysts to clarify requirements and troubleshoot issues. Maintain detailed records of testing activities, including test execution results, bug reports, and test summaries. Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Continuously contribute to process improvements and suggest enhancements to testing strategies or tools. Communicate testing progress, results, and potential risks to QA leads and stakeholders.
Skills: Manual Testing Fundamentals: Understanding of test case design, defect lifecycle, and testing methodologies. Requirement Analysis: Ability to review functional and technical documentation to derive test scenarios. Basic API Knowledge: Familiarity with how APIs work and how to test them (e.g., using Postman). Bug Reporting Tools: Experience with tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar. SDLC & STLC: Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and Software Testing Life Cycle. Agile Methodology: Exposure to agile development processes and sprint-based work

Pay: ₹215,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
