Job Description

Job Title: QA Automation Engineer (Selenium with Python & Pytest)

Location: Hyderabad, India

Job Summary:

QA Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using
Selenium WebDriver
and
Pytest
(Python).
Build and enhance the
test automation framework
using
Pytest
for scalability and reusability.
Perform
functional
,
regression
,
integration
, and
smoke testing
using automated scripts.
Conduct
API automation testing
using
Python requests
or
Pytest plugins
.
Integrate automated tests into
CI/CD pipelines
(Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps).
Collaborate with developers, manual testers, and product teams to define test coverage and automation scope.
Track and report defects using
JIRA
or similar issue-tracking tools.
Analyze test results, create detailed reports, and recommend process improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in
Automation Testing
using
Selenium
and
Python
.
Strong hands-on experience with
Pytest framework
(fixture design, parameterization, hooks, reporting).
Solid understanding of
OOP concepts
and
Python programming
.
Experience in
API testing
(REST, JSON, XML).
Working knowledge of
version control systems
(Git, GitHub, GitLab).
Familiarity with
CI/CD tools
(Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI).
Exposure to
Agile/Scrum
methodologies.

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of
BDD frameworks
(Behave, Cucumber).
Experience with
Docker
,
cloud-based test environments
, or
cross-browser testing tools
.
Familiarity with
performance testing tools
(JMeter, Locust).
