Job Description

Role & responsibilities

In this role, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality software delivery by leveraging strong Performance and Automation expertise and a meticulous approach to quality assurance.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain reusable, modular, and scalable test scripts for functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
Perform performance testing using tools like Locust or k6.
Build and maintain web automation frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
Plan, manage, and execute test automation activities within project timelines.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub Actions, or LambdaTest.
Ensure application compatibility across browsers, platforms, and devices.
Conduct API testing and automation using Postman, REST-assured, or Request libraries.
Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing) as per project guidelines.
Manage test efforts using Jira for test case management, defect tracking, and reporting.
Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including automation strategy, test cases, execution logs, and defect reports.
Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to align automation strategy with project goals.
Research and adopt best practices, tools, and methodologies to continuously improve test efficiency, scalability, and coverage.
Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
Extensive experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or QA Automation Engineer.
Strong programming skills in TypeScript and JavaScript (Python knowledge is a plus).
Hands-on experience with web and mobile test automation frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, Appium, Detox).
Proficiency in testing mobile applications (iOS/Android), particularly those built with React Native.
Familiarity with web applications developed using React/Next.js.
Solid experience in API testing and automation.
Good knowledge of databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL) with ability to write queries for testing.
Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub Actions, LambdaTest).
