Job Description

Position: QA Automation Lead

Location: Indore, MP/Hybrid

Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Lead with strong expertise in Playwright and hands-on experience in AI-driven testing solutions. The ideal candidate will lead the QA automation strategy, mentor the team, design scalable frameworks, and leverage AI tools to improve test efficiency, flakiness detection, and quality insights.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

Lead the automation team, set coding standards, and drive best practices for quality engineering.
Define and implement overall test automation strategy, including AI-based testing improvements.
Partner with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality releases.
Review automation scripts, provide guidance, and ensure maintainable code.

Automation & Framework Design

Architect, develop, and maintain advanced automation frameworks using
Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript)
.
Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
Implement intelligent test selection, self-healing locators, and ML-based root-cause analysis using AI tools.
Develop automated test suites for UI, API, regression, and end-to-end workflows.

AI & Next-Gen QA Capabilities

Leverage AI-based test automation tools like
Testim, Mabl, Functionize, Virtuoso, Katalon AI, or Copilot-based code generation
.
Implement AI-driven monitoring, flakiness detection, and test stability insights.
Use AI for generating test scenarios, optimizing test coverage, and reducing manual effort.
Evaluate new AI QA tools and drive PoCs for continuous improvement.

Quality Governance

Build test strategies, QA metrics dashboards, and quality reports using analytics and AI insights.
Establish standards for test data, test environments, and release readiness.
Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and performance guidelines.

Required Skills

Automation experience with strong hands-on expertise in
Playwright
.
2+ years of experience working with
AI-based automation tools
or integrating AI into testing workflows.
Strong coding experience in
JavaScript/TypeScript
.
Solid understanding of modern web technologies, REST APIs, microservices, and backend validation.
Experience designing scalable test frameworks and maintaining modular test suites.
Strong experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud-based testing.
Ability to diagnose complex issues, debug test failures, and collaborate with developers at a deep technical level.
