QA Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing.

- Write detailed automation test scripts, execute test plans, and log defects using tools like JIRA.

- Conduct smoke, regression, and functional tests to validate the performance and functionality of the applications.

- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues found during testing and ensure timely resolution.

- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, etc.

- Monitor test execution, analyse results, and generate reports on automation progress and stability.

Required skills and qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in automation testing for web, mobile, and APIs.

- Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, and Postman or RestAssured for API testing.

- Strong knowledge of programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript for automation scripting.

- Experience in using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab for integrating automated tests.

- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on detail.

Skills that are good to have, but not mandatory

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure

- Exposure to automation tools such as Robot Framework and Playrwright

- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner

- Knowledge of security testing best practices for automation

Educational Qualification:

A minimum of an Under-Graduate degree in computer sciences or related fields or advanced university

degree in same/similar fields.

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
