Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks that support both ERP desktop and web application modules.
- Maintain test automation frameworks, ensuring their efficiency, reliability, and ease of use.
- Collaborate with QA, product owners, and ERP SMEs to translate functional workflows into automated test cases.
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing across ERP environments.
- Mentor junior engineers on Playwright and ERP automation best practices.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, audit requirements, and ERP release processes.
- Provide clear reporting on automation execution and defect trends.
Qualifications
5+ years of software test automation experience, with at least 2+ years using Playwright.Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in sprint-based delivery models.Hands-on experience in designing, developing, executing, and maintaining test scenarios and test cases for Web-based, Mobile, Desktop, and API applications across different platform offerings. (Preferably including ERPs such as QuickBooks Desktop, SAP, Sage 100 and Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).Strong background in building and maintaining hybrid automation frameworks that combine Playwright (for web modules) with other tools/libraries for desktop UI automation.Experience establishing testing as an integral part of the development process within cross-functional teams.Have developed maintainable automated checks in collaboration with our development teams.Proven ability to automate complex ERP workflows including:- Multi-window and multi-tab navigation.
- Pop-ups, modals, and system dialogs.
- Role-based user flows and security permissions.
- Data entry, reporting, and transactional processes.
- Experience with test data management and ERP-specific database validations (SQL/Oracle DB).
- Strong knowledge of API automation for ERP integrations (REST/SOAP).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins and GitHub Actions).
- Understanding of ERP authentication challenges (SSO, certificates, multi-factor authentication).
- Proficiency with test management tools (TestRail, Xray, Zephyr) and defect tracking (JIRA).
- Good communication, interpersonal, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERPs such as QuickBooks Desktop, SAP, Sage 100, Epicor, Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
- Exposure to virtualization/containerization for ERP test environments.
- Knowledge of RPA tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere) to complement ERP test automation.
- Experience with performance testing of ERP applications.
- Understanding of AI/ML-driven automation frameworks for ERP test optimization.
