QA Analyst

You will work with the Testing team to assist in preparing test plans and testing software to company guidelines and standards. Your responsibilities will include: - Assisting in the preparation of test plans and test scripts. - Ensuring high quality and accuracy is maintained through software release. - Preparing and maintaining test plans for use on automated testing tools. - Providing feedback to the development team to ensure work is carried out according to schedule and quality requirements. - Providing estimates and feedback to the Software Development Manager for project scheduling purposes. - Ensuring test documentation is in place for each project being developed. - Establishing and maintaining a stable test environment. - Producing suitable documentation and maintaining it, while also producing a quarterly report of summarized feedback. - Attending development project meetings and understanding scope to give realistic timescales for systems testing. - Putting forward ideas/suggestions to the testing team leader and effectively communicating all problem issues. Qualifications Required: - MCA / BE / BTECH / MTECH The company offers a salary of INR 4.8 - 5 P.A. in the functional area of Computer Software/Computer Systems Engineering. The role is for a QA Analyst in the Information Technology industry on a permanent employment basis. Key Skills and Experience: - Minimum of three years experience as a systems tester. - Minimum of two years experience writing formal test documentation. - Certificate in Software Testing (from the renowned institute). - Sound knowledge and experience of IT systems. - Ability to use technical data manipulation techniques including the use of SQL. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven initiative. - Excellent communication and organizational skills are necessary for effective performance. Desired Candidate Profile: For this role, a thorough knowledge of structured test methods and processes is required, along with proven experience of testing complex user interfaces. Detailed knowledge of both Manual and Automated Testing is essential, as well as experience with automated test tools such as QA Run, WinRunner, Selenium, Redgate, Jenkings, SVN. Experience with testing Windows/Web Software Applications/Database applications produced using .Net, VB, C#, SQL Server, crystal reports, SSRS is preferred.
