Python/FastAPI Development Lead

Remote work || Contract role

What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day):

✨ Design, build, and optimize FastAPI-based backend services for RL experimentation workflows

🤝 Work closely with ML engineers to expose APIs for training, benchmarking, and evaluation

⚙️ Deliver production-grade, maintainable Python code with scalability in mind

🚀 Troubleshoot performance issues and ensure smooth CI/CD deployment

👨‍🏫 Lead and mentor a team of 5+ engineers to ensure clean, high-quality code delivery

Requirements:

✔ 8+ years of Python development experience

✔ 5+ years of hands-on FastAPI expertise

✔ 4+ years leading engineering teams

✔ Strong API architecture, asynchronous programming & RESTful services experience

✔ CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, Git & scalable design patterns expertise

✔ Familiarity with NumPy & Pandas

➕ Bonus: Experience with SQL, PyTorch/TensorFlow, RL environments (OpenAI Gym, Gymnasium, Stable Baselines)

• 🎓 Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
