Summary

The Python Developer will contribute to the development and maintenance of ACL crawler connectors for Workato’s search platform. Working under the guidance of a senior developer, this role focuses on implementing modules to collect domain entities and ACL data from target applications, ensuring reliability and performance in line with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• API integration: Implement Python modules to authenticate and interact with OneDrive, ServiceNow, HubSpot and GitHub APIs, retrieving domain entities and ACL objects.
• Incremental sync and pagination: Develop logic for delta queries, pagination and rate‑limit handling to ensure efficient and complete data retrieval.
• Error handling and resilience: Incorporate retry mechanisms and logging to handle transient API failures and network issues.
• Testing and bug fixes: Write unit tests, support integration testing and address defects identified by QA. Contribute to documentation and code reviews.
• Collaboration: Participate in sprint planning, daily stand‑ups and design discussions. Work closely with senior developers, QA and DevOps to deliver sprint commitments.
• Operational support: Assist with performance monitoring, hypercare support and minor enhancements during rollout.
  

Must Have Skills And Experiences

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• 1-2 years of hands‑on Python development experience, ideally with exposure to API‑based services.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, HTTP status codes and common authentication methods (OAuth 2.0, API keys).
• Understanding of basic concurrency patterns (e.g., asyncio, threading) and a willingness to learn asynchronous programming.
• Experience using version control systems (Git) and collaborative development tools.
• Good problem solving abilities, attention to detail and effective communication skills.
  

Optional/Good To Have Skills And Experiences

• Experience with integration with Microsoft Graph API, ServiceNow REST API, HubSpot API, GitHub API.
• Familiarity with the following libraries, tools and technologies will be advantageous-aiohttp,PyJWT,aiofiles / aiocache
• Experience with containerisation (Docker), CI/CD pipelines and Workato’s connector SDK is also considered a plus.
