Python Specialist

As a software engineer at Amdocs, you will be responsible for the design, development, modification, debugging, and maintenance of software systems. You will work on specific modules, applications, or technologies, dealing with sophisticated assignments during the software development process. Key Responsibilities: - Be accountable for and own specific modules within an application, providing technical support and guidance during solution design for new requirements and problem resolution for critical or complex issues. You will ensure that the code is maintainable, scalable, and supportable. - Present demos of the software products to partners and internal/external customers, using your technical knowledge to influence the direction and evolution of the product/solution. - Investigate issues by reviewing/debugging code, providing fixes (analyzing and fixing bugs), and workarounds. You will review changes for operability to maintain existing software solutions, highlight risks, and help mitigate risks from technical aspects. - Bring continuous improvements and efficiencies to the software or business processes by utilizing software engineering tools and innovative techniques. You will also reuse existing solutions and automate processes to reduce design complexity, time to response, and simplify the client/end-user experience. - Represent or lead discussions related to product/application/modules/team, such as leading technical design reviews. You will establish relationships with internal customers and partners. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Science/IT/Computing or equivalent and 7-8 years" experience as a software engineer or a software support engineer. - Awareness of programming concepts and the ability to write software code in at least one programming language.
