Python Data Engineer - AVP - C12 - Pune

As part of the FX Data Analytics & AI Technology team in Citi's FX Technology organization, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing data-driven models and engineering robust data and analytics pipelines to extract actionable insights from global FX data. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with various stakeholders, designing quantitative models, and contributing to shaping the overall data strategy for FX. Here's what you can expect in this role: **Role Overview:** - The FX Data Analytics & AI Technology team at Citi is seeking a motivated Full Stack Data Scientist / Data Engineer to work on developing data-driven models and engineering data and analytics pipelines for FX data. - You will work closely with sales, trading, and technology teams to understand data needs and deliver impactful data-driven solutions. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and implement quantitative models to analyze complex FX datasets, focusing on market trends, client behavior, revenue opportunities, and business optimization. - Engineer data and analytics pipelines using modern cloud-native technologies and CI/CD workflows for consolidation, automation, and scalability. - Collaborate with stakeholders to translate data needs into solutions and ensure adherence to best practices in data management and governance. - Contribute to shaping and executing the overall data strategy for FX in collaboration with the existing team and senior stakeholders. **Qualifications Required:** - 8 to 12 years of experience - Masters degree or above in a quantitative discipline - Strong software engineering and development background - Proficiency in Python programming and relevant analytical and machine learning libraries - Experience working with database and messaging technologies like SQL, KDB, MongoDB, Kafka - Familiarity with data visualization and analytical dashboards development - Excellent communication skills to convey complex information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences - Ideally, experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization technologies, data workflow management tools, and big data technologies - Working knowledge of FX markets and financial instruments would be beneficial Please note that this is a full-time position in the Technology - Applications Development job family at Citi.
